About Health Conservation
As a neurologist and neuroscientist, I have become increasingly concerned about the devastating impact of the climate and biodiversity crises on human health. Although the outlook may appear ominous, it is not predetermined and therefore I have launched this initiative to bring like-minded healthcare professionals together.
Whilst the interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world can be harnessed for educational and therapeutic purposes, healthcare provision also has a crucial role to play in planetary conservation efforts. Whatever the solution entails, it should be shaped by those with the expertise, passion and influence to deliver its message, encompassing all corners of the globe over a cross-generational timescale.
The initial step is finding out who wants to help - in any way they can. If that is you, whatever role you have in healthcare, please express your interest today.
We are all in this together: for ourselves, for our patients and for all living beings that profit from Earth as their home.
